Assets School ASSETS' summer programs continue to offer our elementary, intermediate and high school students many opportunities for learning and enrichment. K-8:
Diagnostic Prescriptive Summer School - Each student new to ASSETS received an in-depth assessment leading to a Student Profile. The program includes multi-sensory, structured language learning approaches such as Orton-Gillingham, Slingerland, and Project Read. Accelerated instruction in mathematics, science, and literature is available for students who are ready to benefit from such a challenge. High interest, hands-on enrichment activities designed to pique curiosity, integrate skills, and use knowledge are part of each student's day. High School (open to 9th and 10th graders):
Learning Strategies Students gain valuable study and organizational skills through a content focus on a specific theme or content area.
Algebra I through Technology The strong math student will receive instruction delivered in an individualized, activity-based format.
Healthy Lifestyle for Girls The high school counselor will be addressing nutrition, exercise, self-esteem, goal setting, sexuality and other issues facing our teenage girls.
