What your donation does:
Funds enrichment programs;
Defrays the costs of parent workshops and conferences;

Invitation to a 30 minute "talk story" session prior to every Board of Directors meeting;
Inclusion in mailings for events & notices;

Volunteer Opportunities:
 
The HGA is always looking for volunteers!  Currently the following positions are available
  • Webmaster:  manage website, and discussion forums
  • Statewide Study support:  We're in the process of conducting a statewide study of gifted and talented programing.  We need volunteers to create online surveys, contact schools and families on all islands, and more.
  • Database Manager: create multiple databases for email mailing list
  • Parent Workshop Coordinator:  Coordinate parent workshop speakers, locations, times, etc.
  • Enrichment Event Coordinator:  Plan and organize enrichment events for gifted and talented keiki.
  • Advocacy Chair:  Chair a committee that reports to the Board of Directors and focuses on advocacy issues throughout the state. 
  • Treasurer:  Bookkeeping, etc. as well as other Board responsibilities.
  • Parent Support Group Moderator:  Moderate a 6-week parent support group.
